Book Haul #11: Adding to my evergrowing collection!

I have not posted a book haul since late May, so of course I have acquired way too many books since then. The grand total for this haul is 29.

Since there are so many, I'm going to do do the haul in 5 different groups based on when I got the books. Links to Goodreads as always!

Velvet by Temple West, Lux Consequences by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Tempest, Vortex, & Timestorm by Julie Cross, The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd.

When my mom was in London for work, she went to Waterstone's to get me the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. I love the British covers so much more than the US, so I was really happy she got them for me.
I have been collecting Harry Potter books since forever, so I have now acquired the first book (SS) in Italian, and the second book (CoS) in Ukrainian. I won One Thing Stolen by Beth Kephart in a giveaway. I splurged and bought both To All the Boys I've Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han. And finally, I won Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley in another giveaway!
I had previously gotten the second and third books in the Dante Walker Trilogy from book outlet so I finally picked up The Collector by Victoria Scott to complete the trilogy. In that same order I also go Nil by Lynne Matson and Avalon by Mindee Arnett. I won a bunch of giveaways getting, Survive the Night by Danielle Vega, Ask Me by Kimberly Pauley, Last Year's Mistake by Gina Ciocca, and The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent.
Finally, I added some adult books to my collection. I got The Art of Eating Through the Zombie Apocalypse (this was my sole Prime Day purchase).  From Half Priced Books, I got The Girl in 6E by A. R. Torre, 172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad, and The Invasion of the Tearling by Erika Johansen. Finally, from Penguin Random House, I got Armada by Ernest Cline and Freedom's Child by Jax Miller.

And that is the end of this monstrous book haul.  Unfortunately of these 29 books, I have only read 7 of them not including the HP books that I will never read. My TBR is out of control at 61. In May during my last book haul, my TBR was at 64. So while I'm not increasing, I'm not making any progress on #0by16.

What books have you gotten recently? Let me know in the comments!

Book Haul #10- Too many books

I have not posted a book haul since March 10th, so it has been awhile and I've accumulated way too many books in that short time period.

I'm going to do this in groups of when I got them. There are a total of 29 books. Links to Goodreads as always!

The Fault in Our Stars (P4A Edition) by John Green, This Star Won't Go Out by Esther Earl, Elusion by Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam, Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck, I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga, and Walden and other Writings by Henry David Thoreau.

I bought myself the TFiOS, but my parents got me the other books!

Then I got my newest prized possession, these books are so gorgeous and I absolutely love them. Plus I got the box set for $26 dollars which was amazing! I know own 3 complete sets of HP books...

Next group was some new releases including: All the Rage by Courtney Summers, An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir (from the lovely TopianBooks), The Heir by Kiera Cass, and two copies of A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (one of which I got signed when I met her!!!)

Then when we were on vacation in Alabama, my parents took be to a Books-a-Million (which we don't have where I live) and I got 4 new books thanks to them. I'm beyond ecstatic about the 20th Anniversary Edition of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I also got Icons by Margaret Stohl, The 100 by Kass Morgan, and Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick for $4 each!
Finally, I there were a few more books waiting for me when I got back from vacation, including an ARC I cannot wait to read! I bought myself the B&N Collector's Edition of Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen. I was sent A Letter to My Mom from BloggingForBooks, I won Dorthory Must Die by Danielle Page, Sekret by Lindsay Smith in giveaways, and Catch Me When I Fall by Vicki Leigh in giveaways. And Novl sent me an ARC of Court of Fives by Kate Elliott!

That is it for this ridiculous book haul. My TBR currently sits at 64, so I'm hoping the summer lets me get this down quickly. Of these 29 books, I have read 14 already so that is something! What books have you gotten recently? Let me know in the comments!

Book Haul #9- Breaking the Ban...

So I know I'm on a ban, plus the whole #0by16 thing, but I have acquired quite a few books since my last book haul. There are only three of them that I actually bought, the rest were either from publishers, giveaways, or from gift card money. Plus I have also read most of them already. Links take you to the Goodreads page for each book.

That is all of them. 12 books in the last 2 months or so. But to me this still broke my book buying ban. I was only supposed to be able to buy Andrew Smith and Sarah J. Maas books, and as you can see only one of the 12 fits that profile.

Here is the first stack, this one has the book I have been waiting for forever, The Alex Crow by Andrew Smith. He will always be an auto-buy author and I plan to have this book finished in the next few days.

Then we have Dispatches from the Edge by Anderson Cooper.

Tumble & Fall by Alexandra Coutts, I got this through ARCRecycling.

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray from a TopianGirl giveaway (and yes I now have 2 copies of this book).

Near Enemy and Shovel Ready by Adam Sternbergh. Near Enemy is from Crown Publishing for Review.

Then we have The Infinite and Gates of Thread and Stone by Lori M. Lee. I absolutley love this trilogy and everyone needs to read it.

The Shadow Cabinet
by Maureen Johnson. Cannot wait to finish this trilogy as well.

Invaded by Melissa Landers. This is an ARC that just showed up at my apartment and it is signed which is super awesome!!! I know I have entered giveaways for it so I assume that is why I got it

Vicious by V. E. Schwab. Absolutley loved this one, read it as soon as I got it.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. With everyone talking about it, I had to pick this one up and I enjoyed it. I know many people have conflicting thoughts about this one, but I liked it.

That is it for this book haul. Hopefully I can continue to stick with the ban and not get more books. I know if I keep adding books, I'm never going to finish #0by16. Right now I'm around 60 so I still have a lot of books to read.

Mini Book Haul and #0by16

I have come to realize how large my TBR is and have decided that I both want and need to participate in #0by16 like many other bloggers and YouTubers. Since I have made this decision, I decided to also completely stop buying books too. I currently have preordered 5 books but other than that, my goal is to not buy a single other book. Not counting the books I have unread at school (there are probably around 10), I have 66 unread books, which is absolutely crazy.

So I hope to keep you posted on by #0by16 progress with updates in my wrap-ups. As for the books I just got. Three of them are new releases and the fourth is a book I have been eying for awhile and decided to get it before the book buying ban went into place.
  • Jackaby by William Ritter (It is supposed to be Sherlock and Doctor Who so how could that be bad?)
  • Looking For Alaska by John Green (the 10th anniversary collectors edition, I love this book so I wanted a nice hardcover version)
  • Ensnared by A. G. Howard (I now have all three books so I can read the last two)
  • The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black (1. it is fairies, 2. it is Holly Black and 3. it was $9).

Book Haul #3

Really small book haul today, just two books. But I thought I would share them since I may forget to if I don't do it now.

1. Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick. This is the Booksplosion book of the month and I decided I had to have a physical copy of this one.

2. 100 Sideways Miles by Andrew Smith. I'm on an Andrew Smith kick right now, so since I was already getting one book, I got this one too. I've also heard a lot about this book, so yeah can't wait to read it.

Book Haul #2

So I have a few books to share with you guys! I went to a used book sale today and got 9 books all in really good condition for under 15 dollars! I was quite pleased with myself.
  1. Frankenweenie by Tim Burton. I literally only picked up this book because it is black pages with white font which is amazing. Plus the movie was cute
  2. #1-#4 of the House of Night Novels by PC Cast and Kristin Cast. I've heard a lot about this so finally decied to pick up the first few.
  3. The Luxe and Rumors by Anna Godbersen. Again heard a lot about these and the covers are pretty.
  4. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor. This is the 2nd in the series and the UK cover, but it was in near mint condition and only a dollar so I couldn't say no. I love the US covers, but now I can be different and get the UK ones.
  5. Wake by Amanda Hocking. So when I saw this on the table at the Sale, I literally screamed. I have wanted to read this series forever and this is a first edition in amazing condition! So excited that I can finally read it.

I also got Iron Trial at the book signing this past week which was supper fun!! I'm surpised by how short it is, but I have heard that it is great.

Finally I also picked up a hardback copy of The Marbury Lens by Andrew Smith! I have reccently started Winger by Andrew Smith, and I'm loving his writing and wit, so I saw Marbury Lens for 99cents and just had to get it.

Book Haul #1

So I recently splurged a bit and got 7 new books. Three of which I have already read in eBook form, but decided to get them in hardback!

I have already read the first two in the Throne of Glass Series and the novellas by Sarah J. Maas. But I wanted to get them in nice hardbacks, plus they are gorgeous! Sarah J. Maas is definitely one of my favorite authors.

And I now finally can read Heir of Fire. Having to wait since it came out on the 2nd has been killing me. But the plan is to read it straight in one sitting as soon ans I'm done with this post!!

I mean just look at that cover, Celaena looks like a BAMF!

Next is Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door. I have heard so much about Stephanie Perkins and the Anna and the French Kiss Trilogy/Companion Novels, that I finally decided to see what everyone is talking about. I'm looking forward to reading these since I don't read a lot of contemporary.

And finally there is Winger by Andrew Smith. And let me just say this book is so beautiful, between the spine and the awesome cover, to the back cartoon. It is just amazing. Again, I have heard a lot of hype about this book, so I'm looking forward to read it.

And now I will get started on my reading!!!
