Well that was quite the cliffhanger. I definitely enjoyed this second book more than the first. We got to learn more about the Council and the world which was really interesting. Plus we got to meet Sophie’s dad. At the end of the 1st book we were left with the cliffhanger of what Sophie was actually capable of and in this book we saw her learn more about her powers and how to control them. However, this book added a love triangle. And I hate love triangles, they seem unnecessary in most books and I just don’t see their value. I really dislike Archer and Cal seems like such a better guy for Sophie. But we still have a whole other book before we find out which guy Sophie ends up with.
This book definitely set up what is to come with the battle between the Prodigium and the Eye. And it definitely looks like the final book will be filled with lots of action and twists as the rest of the story unfolds.
